CAT is the whole of the softwares which allow to create or develop a product. Using CAD (Computer Aided Design) a 3D model of the object is realized, the CAE (Computer Aided Engineering), using the FEM method, allows to simulate the phisical behaviour of the system. The CAM (Computer Aided Manifacturing), starting from the CAD manages the numerical control machines to create the protucts. Before building the prototypes we can use the RP technique which builds, in a few time, starting from the CAD simple prototypes to check the properties of the object
